Looking at the previous poll after a week it appears about 1/3 are interested. http://www.specialstage.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=222&topic_id=38543 Next question: Disregarding costs, lack of current competition, etc., would you be willing to consider rallying a Hybrid *OR* Alternative Fuel (H-AF) vehicle in the future if there were other H-AF vehicles running?

If you currently have a rally car, pretend selling it is not a problem.

This poll is open to anyone (past rallyist, current, future).

That's a lot of "ifs," but worded as it is...sure, I'd consider it.

Kinda like asking, "If planes were free and you had all kinds of free time and money was no issue, would you become a pilot?"

I think most of us would respond "yes."

FWIW, I rode in a friend's Insight the other day. It was surprisingly peppy. I just wonder how an 1800 lb. car with an all aluminum body feels with an additional 500 lbs of cage in it...and how you'd weld the steel cage to the aluminum body.

Back to the drawing board.

This is poll 2 of a series of 3 to 5. Each poll will weed out more people with less "ifs". Please don't let my reply here discourage anyone from voting on this poll.

Also.... This is not a scientific poll. The statistics would be way off for several reasons. As of now 8/26 (noon) there are 300+ views of the first poll; at least 30-40 of those views are mine as I was checking it over the week. So of approximately 300 views only 38 people voted. Perhaps the count would have been 13 to 287 rather than 13 to 25. Another problem could be related to who posted the poll. Some people might look at it because I posted it. Others might have avoided it for the same reason.

All I am trying to do is get a general sense of what the feelings are about this.

Thank you.

Wrong, as expected from somebody wandering in their own wilderness.
What the poll says it that of 348 people viewing the poll,

1/12 COULD BE BOTHERED TO EXPRESS AN OPINION
OF THAT 1/12, 1/3 _CLAIM_ THEY ARE "INTERESTED".

SO IN TOTAL 13, THIRTEEN OF 348 PEOPLE CHECKED A BOX.

Astounding..

How's the sewing going on the hair shirt?

When does the Third World War begin?

The poll is for my curiosity. Count it however it works to blow your skirt up.

The date and time is in the off topic forum.

you know what i would be more interested in. an H-AF service/tow vehicle.

a good way to start would be to get a H-AF as a 0,00,000 car.

000 would probably work the best, since 0 needs to be traveling at "near" rally speed.

As long as you can get a power source a electric motor rally car should crush the current cars out there the brushes will take much higer RPM then current motors will deal with.
