Well, if the Marquette-Barraga section of US-41 construction runs long (due to finish this Monday), it might be an issue to my travel, and maybe others. I think he was pointing out a resource that you could use for route planning or to anticipate delays...

It was a general post for folks travelling in MI (like, maybe for LSPR? ;-) ) but specifically:

US-41
IN EFFECT TODAY! (US-41) Baraga/Marquette County Line west 9.67 miles to Tioga passing relief lanes.

Single Lane Closure
Details: Work will be performed during daylight hours. Traffic will be restricted to one lane along various segments of the project utilizing flag control. The traffic restriction for the bridge near Nestoria is removed as of July 28, 2003. During rock removal traffic will be stopped for periods up to 10 minutes to allow safe rock blasting and to clear debris off the road.
Detour: Westbound US-41 (Marquette to L'Anse) use M-95, then M-69 west, then US-2 west, then US-141 north, then M-28 north to US-41.
Restrictions: Traffic will be restricted to one lane along various segments of the project utilizing flag control.
(Tho it's supposed to be done Monday, they hardly never are...)

M-26 & US-41
(Tho it's the 10th of Oct already, they still are announcing...)

Intermittent
Details: Intermittent lane closures including *some* overnight closures. Lane closures are subject to removal based on traffic conditions. Due to construction, all vehicles OVER 11 feet in width will ONLY be allowed to cross Monday - Friday from 6am to 6:30am and 6:30pm to sunset Monday - Thursday.

It looks like the detour will add an hour to the trip rather than waiting 10 min. for the flagman to let you by. We don't have that much traffic UP Nort.
