I got word last night that we are adding 5 miles of new stage roads for the Rally Sprints at RPNE (Good Spring, PA) that are taking place next weekend (11/8). We already had 3.5 mile stages, which is more than any Rally Sprint I've ever heard of!

Please see www.rallyparknortheast.com if you are interested in driving the event, or see my post in NEDiv if you can help work (I've got 5 more miles to cover!):

Thanks,

Our seed 9 sprint out here in Nevada had two roads- one was something like 3.5 miles, and the other was something like 6.4 miles. we ran the small road twice and the longer road 3 times for a total of something like 26 miles.

Real stage roads too:

For our story on the sprint. We even had awards in a real bar (kind of) - with a real Wake going on!:

I know 4Seventeen is really looking forward to this event next year.

OK, more stage miles than any Rallysprint within a two hour drive of 20 million people......

This is a very promising venue for the Northeast rally community. This event is close to being able to host a coeff. 2 rally. Andy and the many volunteers have worked quite hard to find a suitable place to play. They are also working on other venues that combined with this might one day be able host a regularly occuring North East club rally schedule.

In order to make this happen we as workers and drivers need to support these events. Thus far the workers are far outnumbering the entrants. We need more drivers to come out and help support these events. 28+ stage miles in a relaxed one day event is great fun.

Hope to see some more teams out on the 8th.

Greg has a point that last time there were more workers than CARS, but considering each car has 2 people there were actually more competitors than workers.

Either way, with 14 cars or 30 cars we still need the same number of workers, and I really need everyone's help! By the looks of the pic of the event mentioned above, they don't have all that many intersections to man - we have to road block every intersection to ensure that the locals don't cause any safety issues.

Sorry, didn't mean to take ANYTHING away from your event. It sounds like great fun as well- and if it was anywhere near me, I'd be there. Too many wokers? Oh, to have such problems :)

The Seed9 event had a relitively low turnout last year, which probably helped in creating a relaxed event for the competitors- although the organizers looked as though they where about ready to spontaniously combust (Pssst, you guys did great).
