Hi guys and girls,
I currently have 2015 Fiesta ST 1.6L turbo stage rally car and recently got my hands on 2016 Fiesta 1L ecoboost
Got it fairly cheap from the insurance company. right rear door damage, easy fix (yes, i fix cars for living).
Very tempted to build another rally car.
What are Your thoughts on 1L vs 1.6 both turbo'ed
1L is about 100 kg (220 lb) lighter but ST pushes 240lb of torque while 1L with proper tune and some upgrades can only get like 180 i think?
I know Team O'Neil has them but never heard any one comparing them side to side as rally cars
inputs appreciated.

can't imagine it's worth the hassle over a 1.6L NA - think of all the error states associated with the turbo and running boost that the NA won't have at all.

OP is 9 months old )
but anyway seems like 1L turbos are doing pretty good these days.
I haven't build one yet but will as soon as i get my hands on it.
in a meanwhile my 1.6L turbo is doing pretty good
It won all finished rallies in P2WD and never had mechanical problem, not even sneezed once.
One DNF due to co-driver's motion sickness and one roll. yeah, shit happens (
but after changing the roof got another class win and 2nd in 2WD overall just a week ago
