The Wrc cars are mainly driven by wealthly people. In barbados rallying is one of the biggest spectator sports, so there is some sponsership. The Evo 8 and Ignis are actually owned by the mistibushi and suzuki car dealer, and they have some of the islands top drivers driving them. Coming up on May 22nd-30th is the Barbados rally Carnival. This event attracts very impressive machinery from Europe and the other islands. This years entry is suposed to be around 100 cars.

Awesome post. I like seeing different color schemes on cars, plus I like the BMW rally cars. Is that an all targa rally?

The rally carnival is two seperate events, a rally sprint on one weekend and a two day special stages tarmac rally on the following weekend.

The entry list for this years rally is out, and has a number of interesting cars running

The audi quatro of Steve Perez is an ex Hannu Mikkola Group B car.

Mind you, for this event, my favorite is #81
