This is poor organization and planning on the orginzers behalf....Cut off date too late for entries and poor website update...Teams that have to travel a long distance need to know at least a month in advance They may have to book hotels and flights and organize service crews and time off from work The organizers should be held responseable for deposits people have to pay on hotels and flights a 2 week notice is enough. Over there they have to travel Hundereds if not Thousands of miles. As I said before there should be only one MAIN body let it be NASA or RA or what ever...The way thigs are going over there The left hand dosent know what the right hand is doing.
And this is supose to be an Intl event?
They had this problem before I think.

My guess is that they recognize the time and money that go into running an event and out of respect for the competitors have pulled the plug at this time.
Too bad... they are great roads

Thats what I thought the roads were Execlent ...I was there a few years ago when Mark Lovel and Janusz Kulig RIP and the Higgen's ran it it and a lot of other good drivers...That was the year the EVO went into the pond...We had a good time there Not very spectator friendly they gave the spectators a very hard time Not too bad for us we were with the press.

same here (difficult to spectate...we broke after 3 stages in both 2001 and 2002)
Very difficult for the organizers to get these roads too I understand.
We were not allowed to run them at night.
I hope this does not make a 2007 CT impossible

SCCA was not too bad untill Subaru and Prodrive got involved then things changed and there was agro in the camp...Everyone wanted to know what was in it for them the VIP's... And the drivers and teams rebeled which they thought would never happen...No drivers no spectators no Rally's its like a car you need petrol to keep it going.

Rally Nut,

I do not know who you are nor do I really care. Please, do everyone a favor and do one of three things: Build/buy a Rally care and enter some events; Organize and event (way beyond your obvious maturity level); or three go crawl back under the rock in the forest with Rally cars whizzing by whence you came.

This is a truly sad announcement. Cherokee Trails is a great Rally with excellent organization, built from the ground up over the last 5 years by former competitors dedicated to the sport they love.

Get a job, buy a car, spend all of your spare time working on the car, enter an event, enter another event total car, repeat process... One you have done this then your bitching might mean anything, right now you are just noise....

Congrats, you have a nice car and money too. Why do you spend all of your energy bitching? This is your third or fourth worthless post trashing good people who work really hard to build and produce quality events. What the hell is your adgenda?

BTW, it means nothing but a quick google search did not turn up many entries, anywhere, for Pat Keane. There is someone by the name with a red 2002 WRX...

But dontcha know, if a person says ANYTHING on SS.com their credentials are the most important thing, even when a geezer is saying something patently obvious, so when you don't find results in a quick Google search, then it doesn't matter a whit what one has done for 10 or 20 or even 30 years. And only results in North America mean anything meaningful, people can't be expected to read furrin languages like Irish, eh?

For example, I just co-drove last weekend for the second time ever, and that IS on the all-seeing and all knowing Inter-net, so that counts, and is far more important than over 20 years spending thousands of hours helping and showing dozens of guys how to build strong and fast cars and supplying critical real gravel specific parts.

So now that I'm a co-driver, I automatically , NO I GENETICALLY Know everything!

I know your man's being a BAD Irishman! Take away his Jamisons!!

Where's the draft for the 08 Rule Book?
Let's see what I can do!!

Well, dontcha know that Americans are above criticism?
And especially from non Americans??? (wink-wink)

And the sad fact is that many ovewr here are messed up and can't think straight from completely natural causes.

Sorry about the spelling, I've only been forced to drink that on a few occasions, and I was already seeing cross-eyed from some other much more yummy Irish brew....

(And I was trying to poke fun at the US habit of relating how much they will believe something to the place in the whatever sport some person might be making at the end of what has been rightfully called a "Towing Championship".
Gotta be super careful when talking to Yanks, they have extremely thin skins, I get yelled at constantly, too)
