I can't wait to see how joyful Petter is about this... if he is ecstatic about a 2nd place earlier this year... wow.

Ditto. I can't wait to see his reaction. He's an excellent ambassador for the sport, and I really enjoy watching him in the WRC.

Kudos also to Tommi for ending his career with a podium finish, and earning the Star of the Rally. Well earned!!!

Man that was fun to follow the whole rally on rally radio and the live dashboard.

So glad that he won, gotta watch tonight to see all the visuals and stuff

I watched him win at Rally GB last year, and you could tell watching him how cool he stays, fast and tidy, keeps it together.

Great for SWRT to have the 2003 world champion and two podium finishes at Rally GB, and definitely a great exit from Tommi.

No, but you're a bit of tool for posting it in the title of the thread, aren't you? Some of us do like to wait for the Speed broadcast and like a semblance of excitement!

Oh, and a more appropriate reply might have been, "Sorry."

Jim, can you fix, please?

As a Subaru fan, what more could we ask for, Petter and Tommi both on the podium. Now if only Petter would show some emotion ;) Since the West coast had Petter pay them a visit, I think this year he owes the East coast a visit during an event :9

If I must say so myself, common sense might tell you guys to stay out of the World forum if you really don't want to take any chances. What else could possibly be in the World forum on a weekend like this that would interest you. Oh well, each to his own.

I am not one that usually waits for the surprise, I always follow the results online because I don't get Speed Channel, this time I had arranged to watch at a friends house and decided not to look today.
But when you go to SS.com and click read new and there in front of you is a thread title saying "Congratulations Petter..." there really is no way of avoiding it. It is just common courtesy not to give it away in the title and it has been brought up before.

I almost got screwed, I was avoiding SS the whole weekend and then I gave in. Luckily after the thread name had been changed when I clicked read new. Even if I had seen the original, I only caught the first two words and through my hands infront of my face haha.

What an amazing last race though. So glad I didn't find out early.

I always "read new", was not really thinking about the rally as I set it to tape (set it and forget it) and there it was, congrats Petter. Part my fault? Sure. But it could have been left out of the subject just as easily. It is not as simple as just staying out of the world forum.

Oh well, live and learn. I ain't gonna get bent out of shape about it.
