Just trying to plan some news updating and photo stuff, and was wondering if someone could let me know what the cell coverage is like at Baie (on the stages), and whether there is internet easily accessible (hotel, service, etc.)?

Thanks,
Warwick

I had very limited cell coverage (mostly along the coast like it may have been coming from across the Baie(bay) with Cingular). Didn't try the phone out near the stages.
Don't remember there ever being internet access at any of the hotels. And HQ/service/tech inspection is all at a hockey rink.

Good news to hear you're coming. Hope I make it again this year.

Ditto for Scott Comens' phone, but I don't know what provider he had (I didn't try mine). The service was definitely from the NB side because the time was Atlantic, not Eastern.

Baie stages mostly run up thru a range of coastal mountains. These are East coast type mts, not your snow-capped Western biggies, but they're still quite effective at blocking cell coverage. Any cell signal you can get outside of the coastal plain will be a bonus.

Net access is most likely to be (gasp!) dial-up, so be prepared to be patient...post thumbnails unless you wanna be uploading all night.

Cheers, see ya out there.

Those are mole-hills.
I think the real problem is that there just aren't any cell phone towers on the pennisula.
