We fired up the Mother of All TV's last night a little early to make sure we wouldn't miss any great rally coverage (hey, where did all the Production cars go????), and got to see a sprint car race.
What was up with that? We spent the time yelling at the TV something along the lines of "two laps to go? That'll take two hours at this rate!" and "Don't interview the winner! Cut to the rally!" and "Boo! He didn't change hats enough!" and "This race literally goes around in a big circle! Boring!"
It was entertaining, but the rally was better.

Poignant, almost, at times.

That doesn't spoil it for ya, does it?
Oh, and how many Tabors could you see? I'll give you a hint: none in competition, because we ran P-class!

I saw Mark, at least his back and head in the crowd around the Rally America truck (he's a tall kid, with a faded red dirt shirt and Silverstone hat). I saw Dad, directing traffic in the Vernonia service area... and I saw John Elkin in the Tillamook service area... He counts as a Tabor, right??
They should have showed Al Kintigh zipping up and down in the service area on the little mini bike... from the in time control all the way back down to the Rally America truck on the other end of service Sunday. Who's got those pictures? Classic!!!
