Ok I'll come clean, they were dropped from this plane for a TV ad Ron is a bit of a nutter and offered to throw his wifes Subaru road car for a drop test.Then they threw out a Chevy van until it was the Opel's turn.Plan was to throw out the Mini van then some guys would pharacute out jump in the van and when it landed drive off! didn't quite work though.

Just got this photo from Ron in Dubai after the Adu Dhabi rally. Ron was running a borrowed STI while he is having another built.This guy was running in front of Ron. The guy hit a rather large jump to fast and you can see the end result.Ron stopped and called in the air ambulance as the driver was in a bad way.Anyway he doing well and the Middle East claims yet another STI!

Ron is a British guy who lives out there.Infact there are many Brits/ozzies who do the Middle East chamionship.I did some of the 95/96/97 events, even got me to live there for two years.One rally is like doing a full season in CA! The rallies are fab, but the after rally parties are off this planet...The party in Lebanon was.....another time.
Ron runs serveral STI's of many different versions.He so popular with Subaru they gave him an Impreza in 95 to prep and rally.He's run Subaru's for over twenty years.His Mum and Dad used to run the Safari rallies in Kenya way back, Ron's wife also Co-drives.He does have Subaru stuff forsale and complete cars but all JDM= RHD. We did think of shipping some stuff here if there was a big enough demand. He has a 03 STI for $15000 but I don't have any details.
