Ford replaces the Puma with the new Fiesta Super 1600 at the Acropolis Rallye in June.
Ford hopes this vehicle to be the ideal partner for the drivers in the JWRC.
The homologation is planned for the 1st of March 2004.
The new 1.6 L Aluminium block, drysump Ford has 215 hp/8750 rpm with a Hewland 6 speed and a self-locking differential.

Sounds like a nice little "Pocket Rocket" to me.

It looks very good too! It will be fully homologated on Monday (1st March) and will debut in Greece, the next round of the JWRC.

I think it will be tough for them in Greece, Suzuki have made a huge improvement with their new evolution of the Ignis, and have some great up and coming drivers. I was lucky enough to see Latvala on several occasions last year when he was driving a Focus WRC (Acropolis, SanRemo, RallyGB as well as some British Championship rounds), and I think with a bit of luck, he could have a good chance of a good position in the championship :D
