First off - you guys are going to love this one. The stages a blast, but the transits are rollercoasters! I considered putting some "Tightens over crest" instructions between stages.
I saw a reference in print to our roads as "billiard table smooth". They are nice, aren't they? But not all of them are so well maintained...
3 to 6 inches of snow fell on the course today. That came down on a clay based gravel surface with ice and packed snow in the shadows. This has been a bad winter for snowfall on the course, and the surface seems to be holding all of the water when there is a melt. There is one spot on a transit where the snow pile from the December storm has not melted - when the temp rises it's very short lived.
If the weather doesn't improve it would be wise to keep the snow
tires handy.
