Can anyone answer the following about the Clubrally National Championship events that usually take place in MO?

Are 100Aw & TPWil going to happen? If so are they going to be considered National Clubrally Championship events? Are we still getting an official invite to attend or is it going to be a free for all?

Thanks in advance for the answers,

I believe both organizer Kim DeMotte and R-A 'dude' JB Niday have every intention to host the 2004 CRNC at TW/100AW in Missouri February 25 a& 26 next year. Perusing http://www.100aw.org/ would seem to substantiate just that, "The 2005 "Rally in the 100 Acre Wood" serves as the 2004 Club Rally National Championship event. Champions from coast to coast will be invited to race head-to-head in the foothills of the Ozarks to crown national winners in all five performance rally classes."

We ClubRally Stewards will have turned in the names of invitees by the time we convene for our final conference call next week. I suspect details about sending invitations, the disposition of any tow or trophy funds and many other issues will be settled then. So far as I'm concerned, the event will crown the 2004 SCCA ClubRally class champions whether the event is sanctioned by SCCA or not. I'm sure Pete Lyons will have a cow if anyone breathes mention of "SCCA" at that event, but I don't really give a S--T id he does or not.

Mike,

Thanks for the answers. If I get the invite I will plan on going. I have always wanted to run it and hopefully I will be able too since it is the last so called SCCA championship for the club guys.

As I understand it, SCCA will be buying the NCRC trophies and disbursing the tow fund as they have in the past. The top three drivers in each class in each Division will be invited. Anyone can enter the two events, but only invitees compete for the NCRC.

That's right! CRNC is cool, but don't forget that this is an all around awesome rally. Kim DeMotte and crew have done extensive work down there, and as a result you'll find some of the friendliest and excited locals in the states. Parc Expose in downtown Salem was a blast. The roads are incredible. Wide, smooth, twisty, and easy to read. This event is a "must do".

Dennis has it spot on there. The roads are awesome and the locals are truly excited about having the event in their town. When you pull into Salem and see all the Welcome Rally Fans sign at all the different businesses you'd understand. We were up in the hotel parking lot until 5 am last year working on the car. When I went to the office to get coffee in the morning the owner was like, "Late night huh" and then wished me good luck for the day. Really good people and extremely well organized event. Plus good beer and food for free last year at the after party.

Pooh checking in here.

February 25-26 are the dates.

Entry fee yet to be determined due to unsettled finances with Rally-America, but J.B. and I should get that coordinated post haste. I don't look for any major increases in cost unless the insurance thing hammers us.

And it will be a noted event. I know there are those among you who don't believe notes belong in a Club level event. Don't buy them. There are some who come here to run an event that for all intents and purposes paralells Pro events, is in the middle of the country and doesn't cost two arms and two legs. Note costs and details are also being worked out with Pete Lahm.

Salem, Ellington and Potosi are all looking forward to seeing LOTS of cars play in the Ozark foothills. Pass it on!

Please stay tuned to the website, www.100aw.org . It will be updated every time we know more. But mark the dates and reserve your rooms!

Of course Dennis could be somewhat prejudiced...as he won them both last year, but not as an invitee. It's 110 or so stage miles ogf great roads....SpecialStage.com'ers.....put your money where your mouths are and SHOW UP! Run! Crew! Work! Spectate!
