This season it starts early!

These are fun TSD rallies run on mostly unpaved roads in upstate NY. These rallies are at street legal speeds but still offer a challenge. There's a long history with this series and the folks who put them on are also heavily involved with bringing you The Wellsboro Winter Rally and also STPR.

First event is December 10, 2016

The Winter Solstice Rally

Approximately 170 miles of paved, gravel, and dirt roads.

$35/car for SCCA members, $45/car for guests.

More info in the November 2016 issue of Top End, the FLR SCCA monthly publication, available as a PDF from the website for the region. There's a flyer for this event on page 18. General rules and info also available.

Be advised that all season tires may limit your eligibility for speed groups and all competitors must have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance. All vehicles must have an up to date state inspection, a tow rope/strap plus 90 minutes worth of road flares or at least one DOT approved triangle.

Start/Finish location will be Lock's Stock and Barrel (5436 Bristol Valley Road (Route 64) in South Bristol, NY. (585) 229-9848).

Registration from 3:00-4:00 pm.
Novice school at 3:30 pm.
Drivers meeting at 4:15 pm.
First car off at 4:31 pm.
First car finishes ~ 10:00 pm.

Beats the stink out of eating fruitcake with Granny while watching reruns of Lawrence Welk... Unless ya like a spidery old claw hand tryin' reach up under yer kilt. Willie hears ye. Willie don' care.

Willie warns ye, those Lawrence Welk reruns are gettin' yet grannie a wee bit hot and bothered. She's been a peepin' up yer kilt again. Best to get out of the reach of her cold, bony hands for a few wee hours, don'tcha think now laddie?

Come out and play. There's about 200 miles of fun and 6 or more hours of drive time. That's a big bang for your buck.

Willie encourages ye to escape Granny's wee claw-like grasp and leave the Lawrence Welk reruns for pantywaist, cheese eaters. Are ye rallyists or are ye mice? Can ye hear Willie laughin' at ye!?! Willie do nae care.
