    Default Thanks JB?

The news piece that appeared on the RA site today about Nick Robert's plans for 2014 included one possible answer to a question that arose last week. Perhaps another announcement to come?

If it is true, thanks for all your efforts over the past years.

Ahh, JB Niday team manager. Now I get what you are trying to say...

Now the question comes up, who is Nick Roberts?

Nick Roberts ran in a SP car last year, balling up one at Oregon, renting a car for the next event and then having a new car ready for the event after that.
Quick driver, quick study, and has the resources to run a well funded team without needing significant sponsorship. Also, a great guy from what I've seen. We serviced beside him at Oregon last year.

Interesting, he also only did 1 event before competing in SP. Guess he has some serious "in" with RA.

"I jumped into the sport with no previous racing experience and absolutely no car building experience."

and here we can't even hook up the turbo on our 80s RWD slug.

A wee bit of emphasis just in case it wasn't clear enough...

Evidently...rules are rules unless they suddenly aren't.

Have you considered an outright bribe? Hookers and blow?

It would be "amusing' to say the leas to see how that was rationalized....

He ran his first event in NA trim, no turbo. Calm down.

And a big thanks to JB for all the effort and hours he put into making things work. I haven't a clue as to what will happen in the future now.

Gene we might just have to disagree on this point. JB and Havir in their role as RA priciples made up a rule that has cost a lot of guys I know a lot of wasted time and money---I don't know what the "number of co-efficient" that that dumb rule says but since Havir bought Rally but it says One nmust do xx coefficients...

And time and again guys with pokie-ass stock 2300 8v turbos with 120,000+ miles making sweet fawk all for power are told you have to do something until you've done whatever the fawk events...
And time and again we read about somebody doing one event and POOOOOF! presto somehow THEY can skip the rule--
One common thing: Begins with a S and ends in a RAT.

Stinks. Puts a pall on a lot of what they did. Favoritism or the appearance of favoritism---some guys get to ""I jumped into the sport with no previous racing experience" with their turbo power cars.

Does Nick have past racing experience? I ran 1 n/a rally then applied for waiver and got it. I also have been racing for 20 years. Either way he seems to be able to handle the speeds so I guess he earned the license.
