Default Mini Cooper to compete at Sno*Drift 2013

Hey!! Davenport Racing will be at Sno*Drift 2013 supporting Markus Saarinen in his 2003 Mini Cooper! The Mini Cooper will be in Group 2 and is not stock. NA engine massaged for more up and torque. 6spd transmission. Beautiful lexan windows, Braid wheels, carbon light pod with KC HiLite 70 watt hid lights and a very nice custom set of radial mount Wilwood calipers and slotted rotors. Should be exciting.

Come out and cheer us on in Markus Saarinen's first rally!!

Me too! I figure the gearing would be a little tall for a NA engine and maybe a ground clearance issue....but if there is snow that won't be an issue.

I only saw it from the perspective of working starts and finishes. I don't recall seeing it the first day but on the second day they seemed to be well under control for the conditions and doing nicely for first time entrants.

In my opinion, rallying could stand a bit less posturing and circus and a bit more backbone....Phil Barnes, aging co-driver

The Mini had Hotbits with bump and rebound adjustment wn spherical top mounts. Fronts have camber adjustment.

There were no big issues. Both driver and co-driver are new so that was a bit. Car set up was bit off but came around on the second day. 100a should be better as long as it stays dry! From that point toward we have looked at a different final drive but not sure at this time. The future may involve a turbo or supercharger and may wait till then on a gears or final drive option.
