Default Open letter regarding MaxAttack! Shootout.

    Dear friend of MaxAttack!,

I don't know if this is a victory or a defeat. I do know that we gave it our level best to make our little series the best thing in american rallying.

As of today, we're on hiatus for 2012. We'll keep the entity alive and if it becomes feasible to return in 2013, we may make a go of it.

Thank you to all who believed.

    Eric

And thanks to all, sponsors, organizers, and competitors, who gave of themselves to help make it the success that it has been.

In my opinion, rallying could stand a bit less posturing and circus and a bit more backbone....Phil Barnes, aging co-driver

Ditto that, Kent! It's been an amazing ride and has upped the competitive bar for 2WD in the US. We've now got official manufacturer involvement from 3 manufacturers. We've managed to help keep some rallies in the black that would have surely run in the red without MaxAttack!. We've provided good sponsorship value to our sponsors. And we gave some well deserved exposure to some great drives by some very talented teams. Very rarely does a three way win-win-win come along in motorsports that benefits all. MaxAttack! was.

C.D. is now in the WRC Academy !! sure that wasn't a stated goal of max attack , but due to the increased competition and massively increased spot light , he got noticed. Thank you!

That's a job well done. Very well done!!

A lot of 2wd guys got faster. Thank you!

a lot of 2wd guys got to measure themselves against a true yard stick. Thank you!

Nothing stopping the competitors keeping Max-Attack alive. Pick 3 events and go hard!

Eric thank you for everything you have done. You have created something amazing!

To me Max Attack is not about the money, its about the competition and the pride. I say pick 3 events and run hard.

New here and don't want to be uncouth - but what happened?

Looking to get into rallying but want to stay RWD, so Max Attack! would have been a good fit. Was there just not enough interest for it to remain feasible?

    Thanks.

No reason to not go RWD as the competition is still there.

As others have said Eirc, thank you for all your help in putting the events together. The last year, in my opinion, was the best and I am glad I could be involved in the events that I was.

On a side note, I'd like to see if we can drum up the support for the Michigan Rally Series for 2013 we had been tossing around for Sno*Drift, Magnum Opus, LSPR. I'd even like to see it simplified into AWD/2WD only.

At this point I don't really care about the money, I just want to show up to an event where I have to fight for my position rather than show up and win or lose by a 10 minute window.
