Hopefully he will get an other shot at a WRC event, hopefully getting seeding in a spot where he doesn't have to pass multiple cars per stage. hehehe!

Earlier in the thread, somebody mentioned that Chris was born Nov '86. Any idea if he'll be eligible next year???

How much $$$ do we have to pitch in for him to run the whole series?

EDIT: In looking at the entry form and Chris' Facebook page, it seems he IS eligible. The listed budget is 119,500GBP, payable in 4 installments, plus a damage deposit, etc. From the form:

The FIA WRC Academy Fee is £119,500, which is due in four instalments (25% on accepting the WRC
    Academy contract; 25% before 1 February 2012; 25% before 1 June 2012 and 25% before 1 September
2012). This amount must be paid net of all bank charges, withholding tax and/or Value Added Tax that may
apply. Payments need to be made on time. In addition, a deposit of £10,000 for damage repairs, incidental
charges (eg stickering) and fines must also be paid to M-Sport by the Driver and maintained throughout the
season. This deposit will be refunded after the last event (minus the damage incurred at the last event).
The Driver will receive a suitable VAT receipt for each payment.

In addition to the FIA WRC Academy Fee, we recommend that a driver makes a financial provision to pay
for damage repairs to the rally car, for his/her travel, accommodation and subsistence, for his/her personal
equipment and for his/her recce car.

This form must be signed by the Driver, representing all his/her financial backers.

Holy crap, he just squeezed in with his age!!!!

I confirm that I am born on or after 14 November 1986, that I have not competed as a priority driver in
more than seven rallies of the FIA World Rally Championship before 1 January 2012, that I am not a
previous winner of the WRC Academy Cup and that to the best of my knowledge I am eligible and able to
compete in the 2012 FIA WRC Academy Cup.
I was expecting the 2012 rules to say "Born on or after Jan 1 1987", but this is great. I wonder if the FIA changed that to let him run next year??...
