I'm with ya, at our first "major" rally, 100 AW 2012, after the repaint, I wanted to run H and was curtly told by a paid member of the RA staff that she might have some stickers around somewhere but it wasn't really a class and I would need G5's. I told her I'd just as soon have the Hs anyway.
If you look at it, there are more H eligible cars running the rallies around us than there are G5s

I am starting a rally build and was hoping to find out who inspected your cage here in Missouri ? I plan on getting my cage done in a month or so . thanks
They are. Because vintage consumables like dampers and tires are much more difficult to obtain than hard parts.
We are holding our SAAB build to a higher standard.
What Jeff wanted from the car was a period build. And he wanted to strictly adhere to the period. The fact that it could also be a Historic class entry was a bonus.
I found that when I was sitting with Mike Whitman is his 510 and trying to read the mechanical Halda a few years ago, that the numbers had gotten smaller (and harder to read) through time.....
(Kinda like drivers suits do, also)
