Colorado Rally Cup Signs New Presenting Sponsor As 2009 Season Approaches

Denver, CO – The Colorado Rally Cup is pleased to announce its new presenting sponsor, Subaru Southwest Region, in conjunction with Flatirons Subaru and Flatirons Performance. The partnership comes on the heals of a highly successful inaugural season for the Colorado Rally Cup in 2008, which saw 29 teams compete over an eight event season.

“We are incredibly happy to have Subaru, Flatirons Subaru, and Flatirons Performance come together as our presenting sponsor for 2009. For us [the Colorado Rally Cup] this is a perfect fit. More of our teams compete in Subarus than any other manufacturer and the Flatirons Rally Team is one of the premier rally teams in Colorado as well as the United States. To have the support from these prestigious groups will enable us, as an organization, to take the Colorado Rally Cup to the next level and drive the development of the sport of performance rally here in Colorado.” Stated Colorado Rally Cup co-founder Kevin Hahn.

“On behalf of Subaru we are very excited to be involved in a championship like the Colorado Rally Cup. Programs like the Colorado Rally Cup really help to promote sustainable and healthy competition for Subaru enthusiasts to become involved in. And with the rallying pedigree such a fundamental part of Subaru’s brand heritage, getting involved in the Colorado Rally Cup makes perfect sense.” Noted Stewart Garrett of Subaru’s Southwest Region.

In addition to supporting the Colorado Rally Cup as a whole, teams competing in Subarus will also be able to receive additional support from Flatirons Subaru and Flatirons Performance. "When the opportunity to get involved in the Colorado Rally Cup was presented to us we jumped at the chance. The Colorado Rally Cup is something that is truly unique in giving local rally enthusiasts a chance to compete in a number of very competitive events through the course of a season all within close proximity to each other. We have had a lot of success with the Flatirons Rally team, and we are very excited to be able to support the community, and maybe help a new group of rally fans to get started in this sport. In addition to our support of the Colorado Rally Cup, we are pleased to be able to offer parts discounts to registered Colorado Rally Cup teams who are campaigning Subarus." Stated Jon Cooley of Flatirons Performance and Flatirons Subaru.

The 2009 Colorado Rally Cup gets underway on March 7, 2009, in Boulder, CO, with a meet and greet for fans to be able to get up close and personal with teams and their vehicles before the full event schedule starts in April. For 2009 the Colorado Rally Cup will feature one rallycross, two rallies, and three hill climbs, before the season finale at Rally Colorado. Championship details including the event schedule as well as spectator information and more can be found at http://www.ColoradoRallyCup.org.

Nice work Kevin & the rest of the CRC organizers!

Next year you need to work on generating a manufacturer battle.
