"altitude just means not lifting..."
I understand that both the driver and co-driver should and would be in their best interest to attend the New Competitorsí Seminar, but the 2008 rule book clearly states "Driver". Nowhere does it state "Co-Driver". If both the driver and co-driver are required to attend, then the rule book needs to be revised to state "Driver and Co-Driver" or "Competitors" or "Crew" to cover both people. Because if you go down to page 25 under section 2.1 E, it makes the distinction between the two and states "National Driver and Co-Driver License"
C. Novice and Provisional Driver License Requirements

3. The Novice Driver must attend the New Competitorsí Seminar prior
to each event.
4. The Novice Driver remains Seed 8.
5. An approved performance rally school will be credit for up to 4
Whether the class is required or not, it would be in the best interest of the co-driver to attend, as most of the info pertains to the duties and responsibilities of the team member occupying the right seat.
I talked to RA this week, registration should open next week. Larry
FYI, registration is now open via the Rally America website.
Couple of newbie questions:
What's the difference between the regular stage notes at $165 and the clean set of stage notes for $25?
What again is the difference between the CRC entry fee and the Both Regionals? (in terms of what we get at the rally)
I need to sign up for a RA membership. Will Allison need to sign up as well (i.e. they ding both of us for $100)? How do I get assigned a competition number?
I believe the "clean set" allows you to get additional copies of the regular stage notes if you are doing recce.
Yes, both you and Allison will each need licenses. As for numbers I believe the person to contact is Bob Nielsen.
Just thought of another question.
Anybody know how many stage miles there will be? How many transit miles? How many miles between services?
I'm trying to figure out if I'll be able to run E85 and not run out of gas between services.
