Two service guys per rally car.
Two floater service guys. Jump to whatever team needs them or is in service at that time.
One team food person. Makes sandwiches, reservations, buys beer, etc.
One team manager. Coordinate the whole ordeal.
Oh, and I suppose we'd need two drivers for each vehicle. Better make it three drivers, one for the hauler, two for the tour bus, so we can drive straight through to the rally.
So that makes a total of 39 people needed. And an annual budget of $$$$$

At that point we should just go back to:

Or this would be nice but hard to make pick up if we stuff it someplace deep:

How goes the STi rally project?

    Dave
    Thanks Dave,

not one of our trucks, but I saw it at the IRL races frequently.

I ended up selling the wrecked STi. Kinda still regret it. the decision ended up being - sell the STi wreck (for a nice profit) or have another project on the go that would require regular injections of cash. Common sense prevailed (unfortunately).

So it looks like right seat rally time for the future, no driving. And Club Time Trials is coming along nicely, so I will put in another year as chief steward.

Here's a few more realistic ones.
This one saves you hotel room costs.

This one is awesome. Wish it had the mother-in-law space over the cab for a bed space though.

This is just straight up functional.

See Dave, you could take that truck, load your rally car and this into it, and you have yourself a rally team. Your service crew may get you into trouble here and there though, so maybe you'd be better off with a Volvo wagon instead.

Or, two other CRC fools with $9k for a tow rig could go in on this together. You can drive cars thru, and I'm sure 3 cars and spares would fit no problems. I'll bet you'll only get 5mpg towing, but divided across 3 teams, that's not all that bad. We'll load up A-ron with some jerky and red bull, and have the trailer out to the next event in no time. Then the rest of us can fly in like we're famous...

This is more of what I am thinking.

Then just live in it all the time too. Figure out a way to make $50K per year over the internet and you don't even have to pick a specific city to live in. Rally gypsies!!!

There you go Dave, its has the 24 valve Cummins Turbo Diesel in it, Full tow package including a Jake Brake, the only down side is it is not 4x4 but for towing I dont think I will really need it all that much.
