Arrow Rent to Own Head and Neck Restraint Program.

So, how does the rent to own program work?

Details of the rent to own program:

A credit card authorization of $549 (deposit) will be required each time prior to sending out the Head and Neck Restraint unit. A credit card authorization will not actually charge your card, but will place a hold on the stated amount. This credit card authorization will be reversed once the Head and Neck Restraint unit has been returned to Safe Drives. If you decide to keep the Head and Neck Restraint, damage the Head and Neck Restraint or fail to return the Head and Neck Restraint within the prescribed time Safe Drives will charge your credit card for the proper amount.

    * $100 – Per week rent to own fee. This amount will be applied directly towards the purchase of any head and neck restraint sold by Safe Drives. A "week" is defined as Monday to Monday for the purpose of this program.

Late Return Penalty: If your device is not returned to the FedEx shipping system by 5PM PST on the ending Monday of your rental week then Safe Drives will charge your credit card for an additional week of rental service. If your device is not returned to the FedEx system by the following Friday after that then unless other arrangements are made with Safe Drives, Safe Drives will charge your credit card for the remaining purchase amount.

    * $30 – Shipping and handling fee covers ground shipping to and from Safe Drives. This will be charged per use. If you need express shipping or other shipping needs please call our customer service team toll free 877-739-1713. Actual shipping dates of the Head and Neck Restraint must be arranged with Safe Drives staff at least TWO weeks prior to the event. This will insure the Head and Neck Restraint will arrive with plenty time before your event and that we have a unit available to ship!

A FedEx return shipping label will be included in the box with the rented Head and Neck Restraint. The Head and Neck Restraint must be returned in good clean condition with back pad included on the following Monday after your event or the credit card authorization will be converted to a charge. A $20 cleaning fee will be charged for those devices that are returned dirty. A vaccuum and / or a damp towel will clean the Head and Neck Restraint.

    * $23.95 – D-Ring Kit charged one time. This D-Ring Kit is required for attachment of the R3 to your helmet. You get to keep the D-Ring Kit.

A one time charge of $153.95 will be billed separately covering the use of the Head and Neck Restraint for the first event. A charge of $130 will be billed separately covering the use of the Head and Neck Restraint per event weekend thereafter.

    EXAMPLE:
    1st rental: $153.95
    2nd rental: $130
    3rd rental: $130

An example of the last rental payment would be $110: $95 rental fee + $15 shipping to your location.

Safe Drives will keep a record of how many times you have rented an Head and Neck Restraint. At any time you can pay off the balance of the Head and Neck Restraint without penalty. Please let us know in advance if you plan on paying off the Head and Neck Restraint early so we can adjust the shipping labels.

About the Head and Neck Restraint:

The R3 is engineered to disappear! This device is very comfortable and extremely effective!

It is the patented Head and Neck Restraint System used by Racers like Jeg and Troy Caughlin, Robert Hight, and John Force.

This easy to wear, carbon fiber unit has passed the stringent SFI 38.1 standard to achieve certification.

Safety Solutions, Inc. commitment to continuous improvement through R&D has lead to break through in the head and neck industry. The R3 is user friendly and has a low top which allows for easy exit out of the race car. The 3” wide chest strap gives the wearer even more confidence in the security of the device while dissipating restraint load over a larger area. Lower tethers allow more side to side head movement along with increasing the amount of load transferred to the seat belts during impact.

The R3 uses a simple molded seat pad to “re-make” the back of your seat so that the device has a comfortable position in your race car. Easily the most comfortable device on the market, the R3 allows the seat belts to stay on your body for a safer, more reliable impact situation. The R3 is available for all types of seats and ages from 5 and up. It is also available in an “IN-SEAT” version. However none of the rental units are of the “IN-SEAT” version type.

The R3 has undergone extensive testing using the most technically advanced engineering methods known to the Safety Industry. It has been tested in the most advanced and hardest impacting hyge sled labs in the world.

The R3 head and neck restraint travels with the occupant during a crash to help keep the relationship of the head, neck and torso consistent.

Combined with a simple installation of a u-shaped seat pad, the R3 disappears into the seatback, making the R3 undetectable to the wearer!

    Overview:
The device does not rely on the seatbelts for restraint.
The R3 is multiple impact capable.
The R3 can be strapped to the occupant or it can be left in the car and anchored to the seatbelt system.
Straps are made of kevlar webbing rated at a 1% travel rate.
The R3 works with both open and closed face helmets.
    SFI 38.1 Certified

The R3 comes in six different sizes.
There are four different versions based on what seat type you have.

The back angle of the seat should be measured just below the seat belt.

The difference in the R3 models being the actual shape of the R3 designed to fit the seatback.

R3 provides additional u-shaped energy absorbing padding made by the good folks at BSCI to place between you and the seat.

**Please include your vehicle type, seat type, seat model and manufacturer in our notes section when ordering.

    R3 Installation Instructions.

**Test results can be found here.**

    Thumbs up Great program

This sounds like a great program! Here's my question:

Is the U-shaped foam pad included as part the $20 D-ring kit? Or is it shipped out and returned with the R-3 brace?

    Thanks!

    Good Question!
The U-shaped foam pad is shipped out and returned with the R3 as one unit. The D-Ring kit you keep.

This program will be available for Sno*Drift 2008!

We are attempting to come to the event to help get folks set-up. If you are planning on renting a device, please give us a call so we know what to bring from Oregon.

Best of all...no shipping will be charged for this event!

    Thanks!

I'll be at Sno, but it looks like I'll be sitting out competitor wise. Would it be possible to put it on to see how it would feel with my Stilo Rally Trophy+?
