I've been eye balling this one:

although its heavy. And I already have the big high-lift ranger one at 100lbs.

I've been eyeing that jack too - but I'm trying to be considerate of my guys when they have to lug the jack around.

Are most folks running with one jack or two?

I'm looking at a 2nd jack because the Ranger is only 2 ton, and my 4 ton service truck is very heavy up front and it won't lift both front tires off at the same time....so I'm looking for something that will live in my garage permanently.

I have 24" pin jack stands, so I NEED the Ranger (36" lift is sweeeeeet), but I'd consider either of those if I didn't.

This Harbor Freight unit has some potential:

    http://www.harborfreight.com/rapid-p...ack-68050.html

This heavy duty jack gets vehicles almost two feet off the ground. Extra-low profile reaches under most show cars. Dual piston Rapid Pump technology lifts most work loads in just 3-1/2 pumps.

    Heavy duty all-welded steel construction
Universal joint release mechanism provides precision control of load descent in any handle position
Two piece knurled aluminum handle for a sure grip, equipped with foam bumper to prevent damage to vehicle finish
Lifting range from 2-5/8" to 23-3/4"
    Foot pedal for easy release
    Minimum saddle height: 2-5/8"
    Maximum saddle height: 23-3/4"
Pumps (under max load) to max height: 5
    Overall dimensions: 34-1/2"L x 14-1/8" W

It claims 5 pumps to the top under (regular) load. Whatever that means. For 199, it might be worth the gamble and just buy two of 'em.

I pulled the trigger. It's on backorder. I sure as hell hope it's not a long backorder.

Wow that harbor freight model looks like EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Low profile, high lift. Not bad. Might try getting one myself.
