Hi John, follow ur commentary through the threads & appreciate ur 1)honesty 2)knowledge 3)advice. Thank you for offering those up on here. I'm new but just volunteered at STPR & also signed up for NEFR. Racing's in my blood in other forms but I've gravitated towards rally. It's a long shot, but I'd aim to race next year. I understand the commitments. do you have any general advice as I begin this quest
I saw the $7K, 90% done, MkIII golf. Thinking it'd be a good starter car. (need to be mechanically inclined enough to understand/complete it but wouldn't have to strip it/ cage it). Do you think that approach is a good way to go?

Also, one big 'to do' on the car is Suspension, do you have any recommended approaches to suspension? That is an open ended question I know, but would accept & utilize any advice you're willing to give.
Thanks,
Dan Layfield
