Anyone have any negatives using a 996 tt for a build for awd open ? Your thoughts , negative and positive?

Other than its over the displacement for turbo, and you'd have to run tiny restrictors?

so a gt3 would be better......

A simpler, lighter, cheaper car that one can afford to crash would be every bit as much fun.

Humans have a less than 50% chance of correctly predicting future happiness and since there is zero money to be gained and only fun to be had, I predict that you would have just as much fun in a simpler, lighter, well built 2wd car is in any, not just this, but any turbo AWD car...

Think of this: The Australian Brendon reeves , a young guy, some experience but not decades, came here and beat every turbo awd car in North America but 2 or 3 SOOOOPER Mega-Budget cars and he did it with a 1600cc n.a. 2wd car
The year before the other pair of Aussie came up with simple 2.0 turbo 2wd cars and beat everybody but 2-3 mega budget cars.

Either of those cars obvious can beat virtually everybody with a non 200-300k car..

Adn I'm sure they are proud of that, and laughed their heads off.
A person can only have so much fun...what is the point of building a very expensive, very heavy, complicated probably very fragile car, just to have a few laughs?
