[a href="http://www.rallycabal.com"]RallyCabal[/a] will be throwing some events at TireRack in SouthBend. We're hoping the site will work good and lead towards a little rallycross series. Check our site for event info (should be posted soon).
There is also a little "RallyeX" series going on over in IL. around Oakley. A safe gravel pit.
Contact Paul Dunn for more.
September 13th is the "Cadillac Forest Rallye" in Michigan.
Although there's nothing rally - wise here in Indy,
It's still a good place to live for rallying because
of its' central location.
From here we have attended rallycrosses in Illinois, Ohio and Michigan, each of which are just a few hours drive.
Every stage rally not in the west is a one day drive from here, including LSPR, STPR, Ojibwe, Headwaters, Cherokee trails, Sno*Drift, Cadillac, Paris, 100AW, Hallet, Black river stages and Maine(19hours).
Indianapolis also has excellent motorsports suppliers and services, and plenty of non-rally motorsports to see and participate in.
thanks guys. good information. makes me feel a bit more at ease.
My big choices right now seem to between Indy and going to the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Factor in mountain biking and snowboarding, and it gets ugly...
should wait until I get a job offer from one of the places first I guess
