The second race in the 2012 Rally America National Championship brought more than sixty teams down to Salem, MO for the 100 Acre Wood rally. The fast roads and good conditions gave the FY Racing team a chance to make up for the rough time they had at Sno*Drift the month prior. A 6th place finish overall has put the pair in the top ten of the overall standings

“I’m overall really happy with how we did but it’s still not the pace I would like to be at,” says Yeoman. The team started to close the gap on the fastest Super Production cars until the 2002 WRX started having some issues. The rear brakes went out on the second stage on Saturday and the engine was constantly losing coolant and overheating. ” With the constant overheating, we were really pushing the limits on this engine. We just went with it and it stayed together for the rest of the day. The crew did an amazing job keeping the car together and in the best shape possible for us to try to make up some time,” mentions Adam.

Even though there is a two month break until the next event, the team is working very hard on a new car to have it ready for The Oregon Trail Rally on May 4th-6th.

“We have been working on a new car in our spare time and I’m stoked to get it finished up. I think it will really help get us to that next level,” says Yeoman. The FY team hopes to get in a testing session or two before the event out in Portland.

Along with the new car, the team will also be dropping a whole new livery that has been in the making for a few months. Teaser videos to come soon!
