The final round of the 2011 United States Rally Championships’ Pacific Division will be run in the central mountains of Arizona September 30th and October 1st. The Prescott Rally will take competitors through the historic mining district of Jerome and the ranchlands of the Verde River Valley. A compressed two-day schedule will allow teams to register Friday afternoon, complete the competition stages Friday night and Saturday with awards and prize giving Saturday evening.

The Prescott Rally will give Pacific Division competitors one more chance to score valuable championship points to qualify for the USRC finale in Narrowsburg, New York on October 22 and 23. Pacific Division competitors, regardless of championship standings, will enjoy free entry to the finale.

Last year’s winner, Thomas Lawless won’t be making a return appearance but other contenders for the overall win include:

* Mitch Williams/Alix Hakala. This team leads the USRC AWD championship and hopes to solidify that position with a win in Prescott.
* Brian Scott/Steven Taylor. Back in the Open class Subaru, Brian will be looking for another overall win at Prescott.
* Bill Homes/Sean Gallagher. This team placed second overall at Prescott last year and will be pushing the AWD cars for the overall this year.
* Alex Rademacher/Jeana Yi. Alex moves up from 2WD to AWD this year and is second in the championship standings.

This year’s event features 101 stage miles over the two-day format with activities based at Tim’s Subaru and the Prescottonian Hotel in Prescott, Arizona. Proceeds from this year’s event will help support the Yavapai Humane Society. Sponsors for the event include Scott Roofing of Phoenix, Tim’s Subaru of Prescott along with the Subaru Western Region, The Prescottonian Hotel, Action Graphics and Morgan Sign.
