The California Rally Series (CRS) ventures north to Boise for the third event of the season with the Idaho Rally on June 18-19. The rally is open to rally cars, bikes, ATVs, and UTVs and features smooth, hard-packed gravel and dirt roads combined with breathtaking scenery, drawing competitors from all over the Western United States.

Twenty-one cars are set to take the start on Saturday morning. Seeded first overall are Chris and Lori O’Driscoll in their Subaru WRX. This team had a strong showing last year, taking first place in class (and fifth overall) in a Honda CRX. Looking to keep them honest will be Byron Garth and Jason Grahn, also in a Subaru WRX.

Alex Rademacher will be making his four wheel drive debut in the production-based CRS-GT class, after a last minute snag forced him to miss High Desert Trails. Alex and co-driver Nick Clark will be fighting with Daniel Rockrohr and Eve Thomason for the CRS-GT win. Both teams are competing in similar Subaru Imprezas, and they both had strong finishes at this event last year, so all signs point to a close battle in this class.

Competition is expected to be tight in CRS-2, the small-displacement two wheel drive class. Barrett Dash returns to Idaho with co-driver Krista Skucas in his Nissan Sentra SE-R after famously catching big air over a jump here in 2009. They will battle with Adam Crane in his rear wheel drive Toyota Corolla, who teams up with experienced co-driver Don Burress.

Los Angeles based team Jen Imai and co-driver Terry Stonecipher, currently sitting in second place in the two-wheel drive production-based P-Stock class, will be competing in Idaho for the first time. They have an opportunity to take the championship lead with a strong finish.

The Idaho Rally features more than 100 competitive stage miles in the Idaho City area over the course of two days. This year marks the fifth running of the event, and the first organized by the Idaho Rally Group. For more information on the Idaho Rally, visit
