The New York Rally Championship culminated with it’s 8th and final round on Saturday, October 23rd. Despite the unpredictable autumn weather in the Narrowsburg, NY area, the 2010 Gravel Rallysprint saw clear skies and highs in the 50’s at Ten Mile River Scout Reservation. QS Motorsport Management Rally Team sent rookie crew of Adam Krolikowski with co-driver Richard Perez to contest the event.

A smooth morning loop allowed the team familiarization with the stages, and increasingly competitive times put the rookie crew in 6th place overall going into service at the midway point. Having to overcome suspension issues in the afternoon, a steady and conservative pace brought the team past multiple wrinkled competitors – thankfully with no injuries – and the QS Subaru to the finish. Adam Krolikowski and Richard Perez finished the event 2nd in class and held on to 6th overall, but experience is most important to the young crew. From managing difficult conditions on stage to bringing the car home with a collapsed rear suspension, the rookie crew gained valuable experience which will certainly serve them well in their rally future.

Adam Krolikowski, Richard Perez, and the entire QS Motorsport Management Rally Team would like to thank the organizers, volunteers, competitors, spectators, media, and all those who made for a truly fantastic event – with special thanks to team sponsors, Amtec International – More Energy Drink, Something Sophisticated, and Grand Prix New York.
