Today the Rally Minnesota committee, with sanctioning body Rally America, is announcing a new rally on its way to Land of 10,000 Lakes. Rally Minnesota(tm) will launch cars into the woods on May 20th and 21st 2011, in Park Rapids, Minn. comprising of two co-efficient three rallies.

With this initiative, and thanks to the ‘press on regardless’ attitude that defines the community, Rally Minnesota(tm) has created a more direct and exciting link with competitors who identify and express themselves with this true rally attitude. This inspiration behind this new rally and its development will accurately define Rally Minnesota’s character. Chairman Mark Larson has worked on and with many rallies throughout the years and intends to make Rally Minnesota the premier regional rally event in the nation.

Those competing in the 2011 event will be treated to the some of the best rally roads Minnesota has to offer. Rallymaster, Breon Nagy, explains, “These roads are some of the best in the nation, let alone Minnesota. We look forward to a great showing for this inaugural event.”

Rally car racing is considered the extreme sport of automobile racing and is often described simply as “real cars, real roads, real fast.” This all-season motorsport sees drivers and their co-drivers take modified street cars to the limit as they achieve blistering speeds over courses that cover more than 100 miles of gravel, dirt or snow-covered roads.
