Starting 2008 under the name Art Rally Team, Arkadiusz Gruszka’s team will begin its second, but first full, race season. Guszka will enter the Sno*Drift Rally, in the state of Michigan, with Grzegorz Dorman at his right side.

This will be the second season with this driver and co-driving pairing for the Polish team. In their first performance, which ended the 2007 season, Gruszka and Dorman placed first in group N and nineteenth overall at Lake Superior Performance Rally in Houghton, Michigan. The Art Rally Team will begin their new season in Atlanta and Lewiston, at the first round of Rally America Championship.

During the break between the seasons, Gruszka started in smaller events, such as Auto Sprint organized by Polish Automobile Club of America, which was called “Rally Drivers for Kids” and was part of big charity event of The Great Orchestra of Christmas Help Foundation from Poland. Art took an overall win at this event.

In the new season, the team will be facing more challenging competition. They will have to conquer 118 miles divided onto seventeen special stages, which will take place this Friday and Saturday. Gruszka and Dorman will be competing with 42 teams, out of which 5 teams claim Polish heritage. Frigid temperatures as well as snowy and icy roads will provide excellent race conditions, full of emotions and excitement.

Arkadiusz Gruszka: “Contesting the 2008 season will be challenging and greatly dependent upon obtaining at least some sponsorship. If the team acquires enough of a budget for 2008, we would like to add couple of events in the Canadian championship to our calendar. Due to a change in Rally America rulebook, we had to move from group N to Open class, which places us in a level of tougher cars, tougher competition, and more experienced drivers. This is will be a challenge for our team in which we are fully anticipating.”

Grzegorz Dorman: “The break between the seasons is over. Time to suit up for the full Rally America Central Region Championship to gain more experience and speed. Hopefully we will be able to complete our plans and then move to National championship in 2009 with some help from sponsors. This sport is growing fast in the US and with the new, but popular, drivers coming to this championship it raises the level of competition and gets us more exposure. We are proud to represent the White and Red colors of our heritage in this crowd.”

The team is proudly sponsored by: Art Logistics, Freight Kong, and Arpac Group
