pfr07_pbrpre.jpgThe Kelowna duo of Mark Jennings-Bates and Jennifer Daly are returning to Merritt this weekend for the Pacific Forest national stage rally, eager to conquer the Helmer stage that resulted in a rollover crash this past spring. The fifth round of the Canadian National Championship is taking place October 19-20, bringing over 30 rally teams from across North America to Merritt, BC.

The competition will be fierce at PFR this year, but the team is ready for the challenge. “All the teams that challenged us for top spots at Mountain Trials will be there, and we’re looking forward to improving our stage times and focusing on a podium finish. We should be able to rely on the car to finish the rally in good working order this time,” says co-driver Jennifer.

The Coldwell Banker Rally car has gained some dramatic improvements in performance and reliability in time for this rally, thanks to hard work by a new service crew over the summer. The car will also be sporting a slick new paint job courtesy of Agar Paint and Autobody, a lead sponsor.

“I am really looking forward to the stages this weekend,” said Mark Jennings-Bates, adding “we are currently tied for first place in the Open Class championship in Western Canada and sitting in sixth place in the Western Canadian Championship overall after the roll at Merritt and a disappointing Rocky Mountain Rally this year. We have some work to do to catch up with some of the leading drivers this year, but we will stay focused on driving steady and finishing.”

The Coldwell Banker Rally Team is an Okanagan based performance rally team that is supported by Coldwell Banker Horizon Realty, Sun FM, Agar Paint & Autobody, BigO Tire in Westbank, Provision Data, Wildcat Helicopters, Stacy Screen Print, The Great Canadian Oil Change, Concept Developments, Wishbone Industries, MotorTabs, Amsoil.
