Default Hotbits dyno data

Here is some dyno data from a VR4 hotbits strut.... Note that it makes nice forces and has a HUGE adjustment range.........Also note the NO lags in the football chart......These are the single adjustabel units.....comp/rebound at the same time......

Also I droped in a DMS F/V so you can see how much larger the adjustment range is on the HB stuff..... Almost 15 times in rebound...... Also note the very linear nature of the DMS curve.....

(edit) Matt J will host them.... !!

Regards
Larry

I can get the last 2 (though one doesn't look like an actual dyno graph?) but the first one is 403-ing me.

Hi Larry,

Thanks for the data; I have been following this discussion with great interest, and appreciate the education.

Some Q's on the curves:
- For the DMS F/d curves: is this taken with a sinusoidal displacement function?
- For the HB F/v curves:
a) Is the steeper force curve for lower velocities for the hard setting actually real or is this just a line drawn bewteen 2 data points? If it is real, is this desirable? Looking for education here....
b) Is the lower slope of the mid setting curve at low velocites real or a possible data error?

Finally, are there mechanical drawings available for these struts, so I can figure out an odd app? You can emial privately on that one if it is sensitive.

Thanks and regards,
Mark B.

Mark,

The shocks where dynoed on $100,000+ MTS servo hydrolic unit....
The "football" curve is used to show Lags in bump and rebound....If a lag is present the line will be all a mess.... sqeued to the left or right.... This lag will NOT show up in the F/V curve......

The HB was tested at full stiff, Full soft and 20 clicks in..... damper has 40...... The DMS was tested at Full soft and Stiff.....

As for the app.....what for? Starion? All trac? We should have spec for it all.......

You know my #

Regards
LP

Can we get the charts in the same units? It is rather hard to see what is going on for me as a lay person with out looking at the same thing.

Thanks

Derek
