Apparently sarcasm is lost on you. Am I not allowed to have a differing opinion? Am I a dick because I don't believe that ROI on 3 minutes is worth all the carnage exacted upon those competitors that only raced the first round?
Could you please explain to my why I'm a dick so that I can explain why you're an ass?
It sounds pretty rude to me to throw the massive amounts of time and money someone like Matt Johnson spent getting to X in his face while telling him it was a waste.

It is simple, it was not your decision to make. Those who decided to compete in X Games decided the ROI was good enough for them. Now if you want to say you wouldn't do it, that is one thing.Of course, I notice that was not a decision you had to make.
^ exactly. its a choice. look at bill bacon for example, he chose NOT to partake in the show.
in case you didnt know Frank-MJ has been there before, so he knew what to expect and the risk factor involved. perhaps its (gasp)~the experience~(gasp) that makes it all worthwhile for him
In case anyone's interested to know more about those Fiestas, I took a really close look and did half an interview with Andreas Eriksson. What know so far is posted here: http://tinyurl.com/lzsfsv
You don't get the details like this on ESPN:
Page 1 is just background that you guys all know already. Page 2 is the deets. Since I'll be finishing the interview over the next week and updating the story, you can post any questions you want answered (in the comments section of the story) and I'll ask Erkisson when I follow up.
From someone who was on a crew at the inaugural I can attest there are way, WAY more chances to realize a return from an X Games investment than can be measured by starting a stopwatch when a competitor hits the TV screen. It ain't like the car materializes on the starting line, makes its run and then vanishes - they are all there for several days and there are plenty of opportunities to expose a team to prospects.
Hell, an after the fact presentation of a car to a prospective sponsor with the X Games banners still attached is a prospective return. Now, whether the cumulative "R" justifies a second "I" is the real question. Have any former X competitors been invited and passed just because their "I" kept them taking another shot at an "R"?

Perhaps you should read what I initially posted and what the point of posting on here was. Here, let me help you!

WOW! That sounds so completely worth it for 3 minutes of airtime!
The POINT was that Johnson got screwed and turned into a "you're bashing Mat! *whine* I'm going to make a personal attack because I don't like what you have to say"

YOU think he got screwed. HE may not think he got screwed. Why don't you just say "I think he got screwed" instead of stating FACTS that you don't know.
