Here's a little info I feel obligated to pass onto to you.
In the Midwest Rallycross Championship Series there's a stock class that requires the tires must not have a non-circumferential( horizonal) sipe greater than .25(1/4)inch or you get bumped up to a one of the rally classes that are used.Example Prod/gt or any of the open classes that are in the Performance Rally Rulebook.
Does this make sence?I was hungover when I typed it.
Three reasons why I want to use snow/winter tires.
1) I want to run in Group 2 Stock. If I use a rally tire, I'm bumped to Group 2 Prep. I will NEVER place in G2P. There are full rally prepared cars in that class.
2) Due to the large brake size of my car (SVT Focus), I can't mount anything smaller than a 16" wheel. I actually own a set of 16" wheels with 16" Yokohama Gravel tires mounted on them. Unfortunantly, due to the height of the tire, they do not fit under my suspension components.
3) I can use the rims/tires when it snows. I DO live in Minnesota, so it snows quite often, during the winter.
For these reasons I have chosen to use the manufacturers recommended winter tire size. It will keep me in the G2S class. It will fit under my suspension. And I can use them for their intended purpose.

Given that you're only considering the tires you showed, and assuming you don't care how long they last,I'd look for:
1) The tire with the most square-edged outer tread blocks
2) The tire with the highest void/tread ratio
3) The tire with the most interupted tread block design
4) The tire with the stiffest sidewall
5) The tire with the least siping
6) The cheapest tire
Hard to decide without seeing the tires in person. I'd guess the Firestone from looking at the photos.

PS Don't be affraid of the prepped rally cars, they have heavy roll cages, skid plates,... and are built to go fast, not slow... Driver wins, car only helps. Remember, an OS car won the last Rally-x.
PPS If you want to sell your 16" tires that don't fit, email me.

Here's a tire made by Cooper the Winter Master VGR. It has good block design and it'll keep you in the Street classes http://www.coopertires.com/us/en/Pro...assenger&id=43
They will be cheaper than BFG or Pirelli and maybe cheaper than Yokohama but I don't know

I'd say you underestimate your car. A non-prepped Focus is capable of running with G2 rallye cars.
Nevertheless,.. any open tread designed tire would probably work, but make sure the outer tread is squared. And seeing that you're in MN, get used ones in good condition. I don't see any reason to run new tires on a rallye X or sprint.
