    Default 2003 Subaru NLO/Open class car for sale $29k, OBO

    I’ll be moving across the country this summer, and won’t have much time to devote to racing for a year, or two.

    I bought this car in 2015 as an open class car. The car has been extensively redeveloped and is now MUCH faster as a National Limited Open class car. Since purchase it has a new engine setup, new EMS, extensively revised suspension, completely new cooling system, etc. I’m happy answer any and all questions about the car.

    The car has been very competitive. I’ve run 2 events since the car was redeveloped for NLO. The car won NLO at Sno*Drift, was 2nd overall, and won more stages than any other car. At SOFR we had a medical DNF on day 1, but returned to win NLO on Day 2 and won the final super special stage overall. I believe the car was also 3rd overall on day 2 of SOFR. The car dynoed at 320whp and 400wtq and will make much more torque if retuned for open class (without the NLO boost limit). I’m more than happy to answer any and all questions.

    The engine build is detailed on the Boreal Rally Sport facebook page, but brief specs on the car are below.

    The car will be available for sale for the next few weeks, if it comes time to register for LSPR and it hasn’t sold, I’ll be racing the car at LSPR.

    Price: $29k, but open to reasonable offers



    Engine/EMS
    - 2.1L high compression stroker engine (10.5:1 compression)
    - EJ205 heads with all new valvetrain and mild portwork/casting defects removed
    - Kelford 199B cams
    - Killer-B holy header
    - Killer B spoolinator turbo kit
    - Tial MVS wastegate
    - Custom stainless V-band and slip fit 3”stainless exhaust
    - FIA/WRC spec catalytic converter
    - Garrett GTX2860r turbo (will perform well with 34mm or 36mm restrictor
    - Tial V-band stainless turbine housing

    - Mishimoto FMIC
    - Mishimoto aluminum radiator

    -RS&SP 3 way adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs
    - numerous swift and eibach springs for snow, smooth gravel, rough gravel, etc
    - all custom/adjustable rear control arms and trailing arms with solid bearings
    (Made by FY racing/JS metal works)
    -Aluminum STI spec C front control arms
    - MSI solid control arm mounts (better feel, improved geometry)
    - more I’m forgetting…


    Brakes:
    - Subaru 4pot/2pot brakes
    - Carbotech pads
    - All stainless braided lines, plumbed through car
    - Hydraulic hand brake
    - Hydraulic parking brake/line lock for emergency parking use


    Driveline
    - 2007 STI 6mt transmission with DCCD
    - plated front differential (reportedly a cusco per prior owner, but I have not had transmission apart to confirm)
    - 2007 STI R180 rear diff
    - Aftermarket clutch (Exedy ?? I think…)


    Safety/Interior/Misc
    - Sparco Circuit driver seat
    - Bimarco Grip Codriver seat (I also have a Sparco Circuit seat, depending on size requirements of codriver)
    - FIA harnesses, good through 2018
    - Custom Cages (UK) roll cage, front strut towers tied in. Nice design
    - Terraphone Pro intercom
    - Helmet net
    - HID light pods for hood, mounted on quick release fasteners


    Wheels/Tires
    -10 x Speedline 15x7 gravel wheels (2 gold, 4 powdercoated green, 4 powdercoated blue)
    - 8 x Dmack 215 DMG +2 gravel tires. 6 tires with approximately 6 stages, 2 with no stage miles
    - 4 x Ao34 yokohama snow rally tires
    - 6 x (I think) tractionized Michelin X-Ice tires

    - old 2.5L motor pulled from the car (blown and in pieces, but likely rebuidable
    - OEM wrx ECU, tunable via opensource
    - WRX Link ECU (similar to Link G1)
