    Default MaxAttack! 2010

    It's on.

It's late, but here are some of the details.

We had a last minute sponsor step up and help make the series possible for 2010. Details to follow, but let's just say that I am very grateful to the sponsor and happy that MaxAttack! Rally Series for Two Wheel Drive will again be possible for 2010 with the same payouts as '09 and '08 and of course, the prestigious Jake Himes Cup.

Format similar to last year. A spring west event, a summer east event and a shootout in the middle. You can run all three to collect MaxAttack! cash, but only need to run East-and-Middle, or West-and-Middle to be eligible for the Jake Himes Cup. Winner of the Jake Himes Cup will again be determined by highest score either the East or West event combined with the Middle event.

We'll get the site updated with 2010 info and sponsor info in the near future, but wanted to "leak" this much so you guys could get the tires ordered, get your hotels and get moving. Again, sorry so late in getting it together...just needed to have the thing figured out financially before we could do anything.

    Events:

West- Oregon Trail Rally (I know...it's coming up close)
    East- New England Forest Rally
    Middle- Lake Superior Pro Rally

You will notice that all 3 rallies are Rally America events this year. We look forward to working with Rally America on some great new things. First noticeable thing is a check box on the online entry site that will allow you to enter MaxAttack! when you enter the event.

As I said, I know it's a short notice, but I know there are a ton of guys out there who believe in MaxAttack! I'm just very glad we were able to continue the program for 2010 and make it financially feasible.

    Payouts will again be:

    Per rally:

    1st MaxAttacker - $1,500.00
    2nd - $1,200.00
    3rd - $1,000.00
    4th - $800.00
    5th - $500.00

Thats FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS PER RALLY, for a total of $15,000.00 over three events.

Again as with the last 3 years, winners (both driver and codriver) of each round of MaxAttack! competition will recieve a silver cup as the designated MaxAttacker of that round.

And of course the checks. Everyone loves the Happy Gilmore novelty checks.

Thanks for supporting MaxAttack! See you in Oregon. [/leak]

Thanks Doug, but it's not me. It's the racers and the events that make MaxAttack! what it is. I'm just along for the ride, like a sick codriver.

Good work Lurch. New roads this year for Oregon Trail should level the field so guys like Cody aren't walking away from the pack.
