Check out this thread in a Canadian Stock Car Forum. Started out suggesting allowing imports in stock car racing and the reply was the "'Big 4' should do WRC. That's good stuff!"

First .....
Do you think That Nascar, Cascar and other late model series should alow the use of imports in there series?

then .....
I think they should stay in the goody's dash (or whatever it's called now) because it's already too non-stock so far, example

None of the big four (Chevy, Ford, Pontiac, and Dodge) have their street models with rear wheel drive.

I'm not 100% sure, maybe someone can correct me, but I don't think any of those models have a V8 option.

Some don't even have optional manual transmissions, but that's less important.

However, with the Cup series' cars like this, the import cars, the larger ones like the Camry or Altima, Mazda 6 or something of that nature could probably fit right in.

Although I believe that NASCAR rules state that the cars must be manufactured in the United States to be eligible for competition. Thus that makes Toyota the only eligible manufacturer, and they are already going into NASCAR.

I think One of the Big 4 should go for the WRC, that's good stuff.
