Can someone translate lawyer to lawmen ?

So would our Hutchins Hybrid devices be accepted at an event that says they require FIA Hans? such as Rally New york which from what i heard previously would not allow a Hutchins?

will we need to send in our devices to receive a new sticker or that bulletin allows the devices as is with SFI sticker to be accepted (basically as an FIA sticker) now?

If you own a Hutchins Hybrid built in the last 3-ish years, then yes it is FIA Homologated and is acceptable for use at any FIA listed event just the same as the HANS Device. If your Hybrid does not bear the FIA sticker then it would have to go back to the manufacturer for that (contact Simpson or call me as I can guide you to the correct person.) For international events, technically you would also need the FIA helmet tethers and a helmet that came pre-installed with the FIA HANS mounting points installed at the factory.

Please keep in mind that this is only for the Carbon Fiber Hutchins Hybrid devices built in the last few years. Even older versions of the carbon Hybrids are not legal under these rules I've learned.

This is what CARS 2011 (2012 isn't out there that I can find) B.I.A.7 says (I have no idea what RNY says):

"| Each competitor must wear a frontal head restraint system (FHR) which meets the following FIA
| standards:
|
| a) HANS® system:
|
| HANS devices shall be approved according to FIA standards 8858-2002 or 8858-2010
|
| Consult the FIA Technical List n° 29 to see which HANS devices are approved by the FIA.
|
| b) Hybrid® system:
|
| Hybrid devices shall be approved according to FIA standard 8858-2010.
|
| Consult the FIA Technical List n° 29 to see which Hybrid devices are approved by the FIA.
|
| It is also required to use homologated tethers which are identified by an FIA 8858 label sewn on them.
|
| The Frontal Head Restrain system should be considered as an ensemble which involves the seat, the
| harnesses, the frontal head restraint unit, its tethers and helmet.
For more details, “guide for the use of HANS in International Motor Sport” published by the FIA Institute
for Motor Sport Safety, can be found on www.fia.com under the heading FIA Sport – Regulations –
Drivers’ Equipment."

This says, if you have a HANS with an FIA 8858-2002 or 2010 sticker or a Hybrid with an FIA 8858-2010 you are good to go. You don't need an SFI (so no need to update unless your other racing body does not recognize FIA).

press on,

That's quite cool . But i have a doubt !! do your hybrid devices will be accepted ? at different events like FIA Hans or Rally new york ? and do we have to send our devices to send new sticker ?

The FIA Hybrid is legal at any race event held anywhere. There is nothing more needed at all.

I would like to add that older Hybrids were not available with the FIA Homologation and those devices would not be legal
for international events. Only the new Hybrids sold since 2010 have been
available with FIA Homologation. Older Hybrids were only available with SFI 38.1 certification. Also, if you want an FIA Homologated Hybrid you would have to buy a new Hybrid, older devices are not upgradable to FIA Homologation.
