Hi gang!
I will be in Portland OR over Halloween weekend to cover the ChumpCar race at PIR. Arriving on Thur 10/28, leaving 11/4. I hope to do some family history research at local libraries, museums, county offices in the days after the race.
I am interested in buying a well used car while there, something I can drive back to Minnesota without major difficulty. A Saab, Volvo, Mercedes, Audi, Subaru, Mazda, Nissan... preferably around $500. It doesn't have to be pretty, but should be mechanically sound. contact me with any good possibilities. If I find something suitable, then I will be driving that home instead of flying.
Also looking to minimize my lodging expenses, so if anyone has a comfortable couch and could tolerate having a 59-yr-old kid hanging around for a few days, let me know.
