Mitsubishi Rally Team USA at Rally Quebec?

The two Team Mitsubishi Motor Sport America Lancer Evolution rally cars will be driven by two champions on all nine rounds of the 2003 SCCA ProRally Championship, together with the Rallye International de Quebec (a round of the Canadian Rally Championship) on Feb 26-March 2. They will be driven by reigning overall SCCA ProRally Champion, British driver David Higgins and his co-driver Daniel Barritt, and the reigning two-wheel drive SCCA ProRally Champions, American driver Lauchlin O'Sullivan and his veteran co-driver Mark Williams.

There is the huge break between SCCA events (3 months) and a fact that the totally new cars need testing.

Charlevoix is a wonderful event, but I would guess no.

I'm betting that Mistu will be getting as many stage miles on those cars/drivers as they can to help them with development. I bet we'll see them at Canadian events that don't conflict with SCCA events.

Remember now that Mitsubishi USA is under new management by people like Lance Smith and John Buffam and drivers/codrivers like Mark Williams who are no strangers to the Canadian rally scene. That and the team is now based in Vermont which borders Quebec.

Which might mean that when the 2003 SCCA season is over, John will be able to sneak one of the Mitus up to Charlevoix and win the event again this year!

If Buffum were to do anything at Charlevoix it wouldnt be in one of the Lancers. It would be Lance Smiths Rental WRX if its anything that comes out of the VTCar doors.
