If you are a large person, this seat should be high on your list. I have sold quite a few of these now, with zero complaints.

From OMP America LLC own description:

I will further comment that this is a new seat for OMP America, just this year. It features that cool new OMP logo that we have seen in the top motorsports team cars in 2010. Feedback from purchasers has been very positive. For sure this seat can be a huge upgrade in safety but with very good value for money. You will not be dissappointed with this seat.

This seat is wider and taller than pretty much all of the other OMP seats, according to the sizing guide: *Sizing Guide* (http://safedrives.com/prodimages/OMP/seat/Seat_dimension.pdf)

Charles,

Do you have one handy? You know my next question :) : Can you measure from the seat to the bottom of the head wings? I figure I can add bolstering to the waist but the height of the head wings is the ticket.

Thanks!

And please add the measurements from the seat up to both the bottom and top of the harness holes. Those three measurements are the critical ones for us tall folks and none of the manufacturers put those dimensions on their product descriptions.

And while you are at it, I'd love to see the same measurements from the Sabelt Taurus XL. ;) The Titan XL fits me perfectly, but I have not had a chance to try a Taurus XL yet.

Thanks...

Tim

Tim,

I would expect you to fit just fine in the Taurus XL.

1. Seat bottom to the bottom of the head wing – 27"
2. Seat bottom to the bottom of the shoulder belt opening – 25.5"
3. Seat bottom to the top of the shoulder belt opening – 29.5" (opening has 4")

Also, the cusion seat bottom is 1", so this can be removed if needed.

27 + 1" is close enough... If I do 2-3 rallies a year I'll lose an inch to spinal compression anyway, right?

Order sent!

Ordered on the 13, shipped the 14, arrived today the 19th, not too shabby!!
Well packed (factory) included 2010 OMP drool book, all kinds of ways to spend one's retirement fund.OMP must have heard I'm a Petter fan, so that's nice :)

So the important part, part 1:If you've seen my other thread "seat thread v 7.2" you know I've been hunting a FIA seat with head wings that I fit in. I'm 6'6" with a 34" waist. Everything I've tried has been too short and my shoulders hit the bottom of the head wings. I've not sat in the extra tall Racetech or the tall Cobras but the measurements were iffy, similar to the Sparco ProADV that I did try that was too short.

I fit in the OMP HTE XL. I did not even have to pull out the seat pad. I wish it was tighter in the waist, but I knew that going in and it was a tradeoff I was willing to make. It's not that bad, I touch both sides, it's just not snug. Will get it mounted and rallyxed, should be on stage 100AW 2011.

Thanks Charles.

We didn't get Oskar ready to stage at 100 AW but we did run Safety Sweep with the old road warrior. due to time constraints, we mounted the HTE XL on the codriver's side for my dad, who's nearly the same size as me. I had some tube mounts from Demon Tweeks with welded in threaded inserts and sub strap mounts that we attache to the side rail/floorboard/trans tunnel and used OMB steel side mount plate to attach the seat.

My guess is that the HTE XL is wider than standard as well as taller because we needed to widen the slot to bolt up the seats to the tubes. I hope that makes sense. it was not even a 1/2 inch.

My dad loved it. it was solid all weekend, he found the wings reasuring and not in the way.

So charles.... I need another.... Same price??? Please???
