I'm pleased to announce that competitor registration is now open for the 2010 Ojibwe Forest Rally Weekend. You'll find the the two single-day, regional, Coefficient 3, events listed as Paul Bunyan's Ride and Headwaters at http://rally-america.com. Early entry is $350* per event, and will be available until 8/4 5PM. After that, the entry fees increase to $450* per event.

Stage Notes will be available, with one caveat. In order for us to offer Stage Notes at an affordable price, we must have 20 PAID entries, that have purchased Stage Notes, by the early entry cutoff of 8/4. Stage Notes cost $165 for both events, total. Sorry, there is no single event fee for Notes.

EDIT: There is no refund for Stage Notes, if we move forward with generating them. However, if we do not meet the minimum number of entries for Notes, and you did purchase them, you will be refunded.

*Entry fees reflect cash/check payment. There is a surcharge if you choose pay by credit card. Credit card entry fees are $361 before 8/4 and $464 after 8/4.

As always, we can't put on this event without the help of our amazing workers. That being said, worker registration is also open. Please visit http://www.rallymasterpro.com/workers/ and sign up to help with the event. Never worked a rally? That's okay. We'll tell you what you need to know.

The Ojibwe Forest Rally Weekend will, once again, be headquartered out of Bemidji, MN. Keep an eye on http://www.ojibweforestrally.com/ for more details, to be posted soon!

Cheers,
Breon Nagy

Mark Larson and I checked out the roads today and I'm happy to report that they are in FANTASTIC condition. Let's hope that the DNR or Mother Nature don't muck them up in the next month and a half.

We're using a wide range of road types from scary fast to tight and technical. It's a pretty good mix. Plus, we're using one of my all-time favorite roads ;)

After some cold, rationl thinking (something I've been trying to avoid), I am forced to admit there is no way that I can get the car ready by OFR, so I'm having to reset my sights on LSPR.

Hate to not make OFR my first event, but without a lot more free time and/or a lot more cash, it just isn't going to happen that fast.

What is the mailing address for sending a check for entry fee? The website still has enough about 2009 that I'm worried the mailing address for this year might not be reflected yet.
Thanks,
Dave

Last I checked, hotels were filling up. HQ and the SUper 8 and whatever third hotel was in that area were full, but the Quality Inn down the road had some rooms left. I may be releasing one from there, but will probably not decided until closer to the event.

So, here's the/a deal.

My dad does a circle track driving experience "thing" in central Iowa.

He's willing to donate a handful of certificates to the event, 3 $100 certificates for ride alongs for workers, and 2 $400 certificates to actually drive (about 8 laps) the cars to raffle off amongst competitors.

Is this something people would be interested in at all? I can see how it might be inconvenient for folks to drive down to use them.

Should I tell him Yes or No thanks?

Are trailers allowed at service? I see no mention of that or if there's a trailer drop to leave em at.

Thanks.

We're doing a trial run of "helicopter navi". Kim will be overhead with two radios.

Hopefully the gain from losing the weight out of the car offsets the risk. ;)

The room I had has been released to Mr. Parps. Sorry Boomer, didn't get to this thread to see your response and Dave called me first.

Should trailers be taken back to Bemidji after Friday's service, or can they be left at service?

Or, If we don't want to take our trailer to service and want to leave it in Bemidji, is their a trailer drop? (or should I just plan on squeezing it in the hotel parking lot)

I believe we've arranged for trailer parking at the NW Tech College. We have not made arrangements in Akeley for overnight parking.

This isn't good - post something up in the USA forum as an emergency if you haven't already. Somebody should be able to help.

Did you PM all the people in Chad's thread that posted that they were interested?

Chad did you have any others that volunteered to help?

I'm wishing I hadn't given my days off back to my employer, but there's no way they're giving them back now, we're swamped this week.

If someone wanted to navigate for this event but didn't have gear, and could pick it up from S. Mpls, I'd be willing to loan out a suit (if it fit anyone), a (full face) helmet with a Peltor, and a Hutchens Hybrid Pro (XL).

There is bound to be someone who crashes or has their car break down on Friday, so a co-driver should open up. ;)

Hmm, Saturday I might be able to do. Of course I have no idea if I could even fit in a DSM . .

Dave Parps fit in the car for NT1 if that gives you an idea the seat is slammed and almost in the back seat area

You'll fit no problem Mark- and if you want to crash in "your" room Sat. night, we'll make room for you. Erik is a developing very well and doesn't take unnecessary chances- I highly recommend him.
Hope you can help.
Dave.
