Hey Guys- Entries are finally open for GPTPR on the Rally America website, we're a little later getting this open than we wanted to be but it's open now and we're looking for at least 15 cars to come out on Memorial Day weekend for some fun in the dirt! All RA Licensed Drivers can log-in and register there now. New Drivers can apply for a License and Log-in by contacting: licensing@rally-america.com .
The big news is that we will have 2 Stages this year: the traditional Motorsports Park Stage and the new Field Stage across the street. We expect the Field Stage to be about 1.25 Mi., very fast and very smooth. We also plan to eliminate all the rough stuff from the Park Stage and have only 2 small jumps. Eric and I will be measuring the route this weekend and will post more info and maybe a few pictures later.
After the great G2 battle at Nemadji 1 , we are expecting a great G2 turnout and continuation of the battle and search for points for the new North Central Regional Rally Championships. It was rumored at NT1 that at least $500 in Awards are coming and of course the second recipient of the Jeff Moyle Memorial Cup will be determined at the end of the series.
One more new feature of GPTPR 2010 is the addition of the National Drivers Test & Tune session concurrent with the rallies. All RA National license holders are invited to run as many as half of the stages as testing and tuning for upcoming RA National rallies. Contact Dave at dparps@wi.rr.com for more info.
More info and the Supp. Reg,'s can be found at: http://rally-america.com/events/2010/GPARK1/ . You can also visit our new Wisconsin Autosports Group page on Facebook for more info, photos and discussion.
Please pass this on to anyone you think might be interested.
So dust off that rally car and come out for some fun in the dirt!
Press on,
Dave
