Evolution S GT is one of the widest.. its just over 16" wide.. Its what I use. I'm 5'7" and 240lbs.. (Yeah i know, my fatass needs to shed some pounds and stop slowing the car down)

Sparco Evo XL / Evo 3 are pretty big. I also have and like the OMP Extra.
All are FIA and will fit a pretty big dude.
Pretty sure you can use a non-FIA seat with a brace.

Note that the competitor is Canadian and CARS rules require a seat meeting FIA 8855-1999 after July 1, 2010. It is highly recommended that the seat is not more than 5 years old, but not enforced. (The standard is for 5 years with 2 more if the seat is re certified by the manufacturer)
US Competitors running on a RA or NASA License need only meet the standards set by their sanctioning body.

nope... after talking to every seat maker, i am S.O.L.
Rally is a sport for only small people i guess!

Mind if I ask how big you are? I'm 5'7" 245lbs, and fit into our Cobra Evolution GT with plenty of room to spare (I fit in our Cobra Evolution Driver seat snugly too)

6'2" 410lbs Built like a football player. "Hmmm Should look at that i guess"
I use kirkey alum seats for my 6 other race cars. i've had many many wrecks in those seats with no problems.

Racetech sells both a wide and extra wide version of the RT 4000 (without head restraints).
Dimensions "C" and "D" appear to be significantly larger for this seat than the other Racetech seats.

When I talked to Racetech a couple of years ago, they insisted that the Tall & Wide version of their 4009 head restraint seat required a minimum 38" waist...

I believe they'll also custom make seats for folks.

If you come south to race in RA, your Kirkey seat is fine.

I called SubeSport when I was looking for a very small seat for my Co-Driver. They explained to me that the deminsions listed by the manufacturer are not comparable. Some dimensions are taken without the cushion and some with the cushions. Some are taken with the cushions compressed, others are not. It might be worth giving them a call. I almost got a seat that showed a smalled dimension but was larger (actually) than another seat.
Also, I'm not sure if steel frame seats are FIA certified, but... You can make them bigger using a scissor jack.

Have you tried getting an exception from CARS?

i just purchased racetech seat whr--it fits me but just barely--i have 17" at hips--i am 5 10 240. it wont work for you. also the sabelt titan xl is slightly smaller and wont work either so dont waste money on that one either. I agree with you on the kirkey--they fit me fine.

I bought a Corbeau (UK) Revolution wide with head restraints, its too wide for me, and I'm not a whole lot smaller.
Unfortunately, if you height is all in your torso, as is mine, its probably not big enough vertically (It just works for me, I'm 6 foot and a smidge, but its ALL in the torso).

Good luck with that.
We had to replace 2 perfectly good Kirkey seats that we used for Targa that no longer fit the rule change.
Another rule change that cost you more $$
