Harness Question

I have a set of G-force harnesses that were manufactured in October of 2005. Are these belts still good through October of 2005 or do I need to replace them before I rally next.

Replace them - SFI ratings are good for 2 years, FIA 5. Either way, if they're made in 05, they're timed out.

Actually, FIA dates are calendar year, so they'd be good through the end of this year if they had FIA tags.

But, since you're stating the question with the mfr date, I'm guessing there's not an FIA tag that says "good through 2010" on the belts and they're SFI.

They have the man take and another take that says valid through 2010.

keep looking - the markings on the tags are as important as the dates.

The date with the 2010 on it should say "FIA blah blah blah".


Both sets will need the tag on them. GForce was only putting a single FIA tag on them for a period of time.
