Interesting helmet test

Even if it doesn't change your perspective you might learn something...makes me wonder if a softer helmet wouldn't make sense in a closed-race car....

Interesting test ( and replies) of the M standard. SA adds flame resistance and more important, a "fourth anvil test for repeated strikes against a roll cage." The motorcyclist article, and a quick trip to the Snell site seem to confirm what I've been told. The M standard tests for a couple of hard hits and the SA is for one hard hit and several smaller ones.
