Hi,
I just came in from working on my 1995 Subaru Impreza rally car. The last thing I did tonight was replace the fuel filter. After finishing this very simple job I pressurized the system to insure there was no leak. Well, there was a leak, a big leak from the fuel test port.
The leak was from the actual fitting where the sample comes out, the valve part. It's a four year old fuel test port that I've never touched until this leak occurred. A small flat head screw driver fixed the problem. I've never given this item any thought until now and I bet a few other rally cars out there have a loose fuel test port as well. Go out to your rally car right now and turn a screw driver on this sucker while you are thinking about it. :)
